Privacy policy

This notice concerns the processing of personal data of visitors to www.laborandwork.com. Data processed in the course of a professional engagement is covered by a separate notice, provided by the Firm when the engagement begins.

Data controller

The data controller is the law firm Labor and Work, with offices in Naples, Via Medina 40 (80133) and Venice, San Marco 2570 (30124). VAT number and tax code appear in the footer of every page of this site.

What we collect

Data you give us

The contact form collects: name, email address, telephone number (optional), service of interest (optional), subject and body of the message, and the language you were browsing in. These are the only data the site asks of you.

Please do not include sensitive information in your message — health, trade union membership, legal proceedings — before a professional relationship is established: a conversation is the proper place for that.

Data collected automatically

Like every website, the server logs the requests it receives: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type. This serves technical operation and security, and is kept in the server logs for a limited period.

To prevent automated submissions, the site counts for ten minutes how many requests come from the same IP address. That count stays in the program’s memory and is never stored.

Why we process it, and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry: processing is necessary to respond to a question you have asked us and for any pre-contractual steps (Art. 6.1.b GDPR), as well as on the consent you give by submitting the form (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).
• Security and operation of the site: the controller’s legitimate interest in keeping the service running and protected from abuse (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
• Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

Providing your data is optional, but without a name, an email address and a message we cannot reply.

How long we keep it

Messages received through the form remain in the site’s archive for 24 months from the last contact, then they are deleted. If the enquiry leads to a professional engagement, the data becomes part of the case file and follows the retention periods set out in the engagement notice.

Server logs are kept for a limited period and overwritten automatically.

Who can see the data

Messages can be read by the lawyers and staff of the Firm authorised to process them. They are not published, not sold, and not used for marketing.

The following process data on the controller’s behalf, as processors:

• the provider hosting the site, whose servers are located in France, within the European Union;
• the email provider, based with its servers in Italy, through which the notification travels;
• the IT consultants who maintain the site, for as long and as far as necessary.

No transfer of personal data outside the European Union is envisaged.

Automated decisions

No data is used for profiling or automated decision-making. Messages are read by a person.

Your rights

You may at any time ask to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a readable format, or to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out.

Requests go to info@laborandwork.com. We answer within one month, as required by Art. 12 GDPR.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or bring the matter before a court.

Security

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the private area, where messages are read, is protected by personal credentials and limited to authorised people.

Changes

This notice may be updated when the site or its features change. The date of the latest revision appears at the top of the page.
